Typical Bedtime

So, we try to have the same bedtime routine every night: scriptures, stories, songs and bed. We got our old rocking chair back from storage and the kids have loved sitting on my lap each night while we read stories. Sometimes there is a bit of a fight over who gets my lap. It seems that although I have two legs, so technically two kids can sit there, only one child wants to sit there at a time since sharing is just a concept reserved for Disney movies and sunday school lessons. Here is Ella happy to have won a spot on my lap while Mason cries because she beat him to it:

Then Ella went to brush her teeth so Colton sneaked up and took her spot:

9 year olds are NOT too old to sit on their mom's lap.
Then Mason finally got up and we were ready for some serious book reading. Or silly face making.
